Seven tea flavors for your birthday cake, dad!

We thought you’d love a peppermint, fennel, dandelion, hibiscus, rooibos, earl grey, and orange peel desert to celebrate turning 70. Yay!

What a festive month this is, the holidays, sure, and you turning 70 and celebrating your 50th anniversary with mom. I guess you got married when you were 10? Wow! That seems so young. But times were different back then.

Ok, well, I just want you to know how much you mean to me and how much I love you.

Thank you for everything; reading me stories, going for night walks, watching old comedies, and helping me with my math homework.

Happy 70th Birthday yesterday, dad! I love you!♥️

Let me make things easier for you…

My name is Kim. I’m just Kim – not Kimberly, Kimmy, or Kim Kim Cher-ee.

My middle name is Marie.

My Grandma Considine would remind me often – later in life – of how I used to go around saying, “I’m Kim Arie Considine.”

One M was enough.

I was like…

“Save yourself some time; just lay down that M from Kim and let it linger – hum it out. You’ve got stuff to do. I don’t feel like waiting around for it. Don’t bother pronouncing it all. We’re good here.”

That’s how nice I was as a kid.

OR lazy.

But when I lived in Texas, they added time to my name.

They were like…

“Kilm. Now… Killlllm. How ya doin’, Killlllllllm?”

All that time I saved earlier in life; came back a hundredfold.

*Shockingly, the moon pic is from Pixabay.com, not Keith Considine with his new iPhone.
