“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” – Fred Devito
I got my wings today.
Feminine pads, with wings.
Super powers in my undies. In case my underwear needs to be somewhere, really fast.
We’re looking to leave tonight Kim – we need wings!
I called in an order at the health store for food and pads. Had to ask a teenage boy to pick out the box for light days with wings. Yes with wings. Wings!
He’ll never erase that from his memory – any mention of wings could remind him of my pads. At any time it could ring a reference to our call.
Wednesday night out with Friends.
Ronnie, want to go for wings?
Or his mom asks him if he wants wings for dinner.
She’s going to the store, she can grab him some wings on her way home…if he wants.
In reflecting upon any day, it’s the unexpected and interactive moments that make me feel alive. Like when I’m running without thinking like I’m floating down the street. It’s when I’m lost in the moment and I’m seeing things differently.
It’s the glancing at another runner and smiling for second, a fleeting friend, that keeps me going. I run for my mind. I benefit from my fitness. I continue for my soul. I thrive on the connection from it all.

Trust in your true self and persist in all your endeavors with joy – results will follow.
No need to race, your power is great. You can start anything now, it’s never too late.
It’s always within, just let some of it out. It gets better. Use your wings.
