Hey, Goodbye

“Don’t be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.” ~ Richard Bach

Either way…

“The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again.” ~ Charles Dickens (Nicholas Nickleby)

It’s more acceptable to say ‘Hello’ to strangers and passersby than it is to say ‘Goodbye’.

But, goodbye seems just as accurate though. You’re coming and going at the same rate. There’s more of a goodbye essence to it all anyway.

Could you imagine it that way? To everyone you see…”Goodbye, Goodbye, Ohhh, hey goodbye.”

Greetings – Salutations – Textings…

Do you ever apologize when you call someone instead of texting them?

“I’m so sorry, normally I wouldn’t call, but I’d like to make a hair appointment.”

Calls are for emergencies, only!

When my phone rings, I brace myself…”Who died?”

When someone asks if I’ve talked to so and so – I say…”Oh yeah, we talk.”

That’s my way of saying – we text. Sometimes.

Then they ask, “Have you talked to him recently?”

“YES!”

Means – I’ve texted him recently enough. Step off.

Hey, goodbye!

To repeat…

A song to start the week: Shine by Stick Figure on Spotify/YouTube.

Had a dream I was flying
That’s where I go when I want to be free
All this time I’ve been trying
To escape to the place where I belong
Shine on like the sun
Holding on to a feeling
Shine on everyone
Find love to believe in

“Well, I’m not one usually for speeches. So, goodbye.” ~ Ron Swanson, P&R
