Me too! Huge fan. Oh man, but that still sounds really cool. The youtube video above is his daughter in a Q&A style, interviewing him about how he came up with the Little Miss Magic song for his first child/daughter – he still sounds exactly the same. Maybe you could get him to join another safari? I used to see him in concert a lot when I lifeguarded – even went to his bar in Key West – but I was underage at the time, still fun, got away with a little bit of mischief, would love to go back. I hear he frequently shows up and plays unannounced.

You were getting into trouble in key west early on?!? The sad fact on my end is that we never made it for a proper key west vacation despite 7 years in the evil swamp (aka Miami). How am I writing about that? I came here to say thanks I loved this Friday post. Picked me up in 100 degree heat blanket here..gotta live it up any way

Dang it, I responded to this and I just noticed my comment didn’t save last week – not sure what I did, but, so glad the post picked you up, that’s wonderful to hear and I truly hope you had a great Father’s Day weekend. Also, can’t believe you guys lived in Miami for 7yrs – I stayed for 7 days and felt like I’d met the sun personally and had seen every insect ever made, and some new ones – did you guys ever see or hang out with Don Johnson? Hope your week is a lot cooler this week – I ran in straight humidity this morning – it was like running in water – great for the muscles I suppose.
