“Spring is when life’s alive in everything.” ~ Christina Rosetti

Spring Becoming
Budding blossoms
Perky Peppers
Dirty knees
Late dining
Early running
Spring becoming
All of these
Longer days, releasing
Brain haze, unleashing
Chill and wet
Cold bumps with sweat
All running down my neck
Springtime flowing through earth’s veins
Returning to life
Many of its beautiful things
Spring is coming
New beginnings
Hours gaining
Soft ground
Mushy training
Heading out, it may start raining
Or the sky, full of sun, hot and beaming
Upbeat music streaming
Kids playing, laughing, screaming
More time
Daydreaming
Deep cleaning
Pavement pounding
Heart beating
Spring becoming
More moving
Less eating
Skipping meetings
Catch me at the park
Stay until dark
Linger longer
Spring is coming
All in flux
Now it’s here
Then it’s not
Summer’s next
Autumn falls
Then it snows
And so it goes
But for now
Springtime’s sprouting
Shouting, I’m ready
I’m here!

“When spring came, even the false spring, there were no problems except where to be happiest.” ~ Ernest Hemingway
