Why are all the automated answering services changing so much or are they? Maybe they just want to be heard.
“Some of our menu options have changed, please listen carefully, please!” 🙏
It’s on all the automated greetings now, why tell us? Who’s calling in enough to notice?
“Hey, this isn’t the same! What’s going on here? Somebody better start explaining and quick!”
Even if a business just opened up today, their answering service would say, “Hello and thank you for calling. We are pleased to announce that we are officially open. If you’d like to reach ANYBODY, please listen carefully, some of our menu options have changed. Please listen, just listen…”
Outgoing Messages left on our work phones…
“I’m either on my phone or away from my desk.” …That narrows it down.
What if we left all of the possibilities as to why we were unable to pick up?
What’s really weird is when you get a voicemail and someone’s guessing what you’re doing – while you’re doing it.
